Leaving New York
This was taken from the Highline in Chelsea.
I'm leaving New York today, to go and work for three months in France.

Who Dat!!!
So The Saints did make it last night. The city became totally wild, people were so happy, it was a great experience to share. It's actually still going on. This afternoon I was on the highway coming back from a ride outside of town. Near the exit to the airport, where the team was just flying in from Miami, there were thousands of fans welcoming the players home. There were dozens of cars parking and people walking about, just along side the highway. There were also police cars everywhere but it didn't seem to make any difference! Tomorrow the whole team will be in a massive parade.
HERE is a link for a few more pictures taken during the night, and three clips, just as the game finished in the pub I was in, and then in the streets where I followed a brass band slowly making it's way to Bourbon Street, where everyone was celebrating.

Big party time in New Orleans
It's the Carnaval season here but before anything else, this week end is extra special since The Saints, the local football team, are playing in the Super Bowl. It will be the very first time in the history of the club, and the game is tomorrow in Miami, against The Colts from Indianapolis. The city has been preparing for this event for days, you really can't miss it, and the atmosphere in the streets is just crazy, so cheerful and colorful. Music on every corner and in every single pub, parades, people dancing in the streets and calling out "Who Dat" all the time. It seems like this event, followed by the whole country, is marking the fact that New Orleans has finally recovered from Katrina, the hurricane which devastated the city four and half years ago.
Here are a few pics taken this afternoon.
The "Who Dat" song:
And HERE, a link for more pics which I took today just as I was walking along, from the Faubourg Marigny to the French Quarter.

Nicole Renaud and her Lincordian
I was a this party on saturday. There were performances all night long. Suddenly, as an apparition, this frail woman walked in. She was wearing a long dress lit in blue and was carrying a transparent and luminous accordeon. Her voice and tunes just brought everyone to a hold.
I couldn't find anything good on Youtube, only the video below, but I do have this picture, and this is the link to her website.

A clip from Seb Farges
This old friend from Bordeaux was in NYC three weeks ago, with his girlfriend Sarah. Here's a short film he just edited, back in France. It gives quite a good idea of what New York can be, especially when you visit. Check it out, I'm also in there!
Filming people
Some images of tests we made yesterday, my friend Emile and I, for a project we have here in NYC, a series of video portraits for the web. This was shot at The Camera Club of New York, on 37th street. Emile did the lighting and the filming. Won't say more for now.
